Telehealth, Cognitive Load, and Health Equity

Our team’s paper on how a helping intervention for targeting cognitive load has been published in JMIR. Through this paper we demonstrate how cognitive load can be impacted through context-switching involved when navigating multiple healthcare technologies — and how this becomes even more challenging when people experience environmental distractions introduced through unreliable internet connections, and outdated devices.
