Overview
I am currently involved in multiple research projects at the University of Michigan which are being led by Dr. Tiffany Veinot. This includes: (1) investigating how the inequitable access to video telehealth visits can be addressed through the introduction of digital navigators; (2) piloting a non-monetary transportation service for facilitating rides to healthcare appointments; and (3) enhancing access to medication affordability resources through a sociotechnical tool. I also am a co-investigator on a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) on a Project Grant that is developing equitable patient-centered measurement.
My previous research has applied a health equity lens to investigate the design and implementation of patient portals, supporting quality of life for people with a chronic illness and modernizing gender, sex and sexual orientation information practices in digital health systems.
