The International Journal of Medical Informatics (IJMI) conducts an annual review of papers making an impact in Medical Informatics. For 2021, one of their focuses was on Addressing Bias, Equity, and Literacy to Strengthen Health Systems. My team’s publication on Toward an inclusive digital health system for sexual and gender minorities in Canada was one of five papers receiving an honorable mention for addressing equitable representation of gender, sex, and sexual orientation (GSSO) in health records.
